
MOKATE Czech Ltd. is one of medium-sized commercially producing companies in the Czech Republic that is engaged in production, packaging and distribution of food products and it is specialized on production of coffee, tea and cocoa instant products. The company decided to change its conception because of an increase of labour efficiency, system integration in the company and a takeover of more stable and absolute system. Change of food industry law played a crucial role during the change of the system.
It is the law number 110/1997 (whole amendment see law 456/2004) with references to European Parliament and the Council of Europe – ES number 178/2002. This law came into force on 1st of January 2005 and gives the companies order to monitor food in all phases of production, processing and distribution.
Business aims
There are important factors that lead to changes in the company:
- Use of old software, unwieldy as far as any improvements and changes
- Impossibility to connect current software with office products. The result was a very low productivity of labour
- IS that will be able to monitor exactly input and output doses of food products and later on it will enable a backward search of all information about particular raw material or product
- Improvement of services and making the communication with customers easier
- Possibility of integration of accountancy (finances, purchase, sale, property and others)
- Need to monitor returnable covers
Conception
- The project was started by the first phase. It was an analysis finished by a suggestion of functional conception
- Following steps within the bounds of implementation methodology called On Target focused on implementations of the system, completion of necessary improvements of the system, training of users and in final phase to coming the system into service. The application was completely fine-tuned during January and February 2005
- Nowadays we offer MOKATE Czech consultant services and it can be said that all aims that were set in the beginning of the implementation of IS MBS – Navision were fulfilled
Contributions

- Extraordinary short time of implementation of IS MBS – Navision 3.70. It took only 3 months from the first analysis to the final takeover
